How we serve the UAE & Middle East together

Inland engineers and fabricates the product. Cmets Energy brings it to your region, speaks your project language, and stays with your team from first enquiry to site delivery. The result is a shorter path from site plan to a protected, ready site, and a single point of contact in Abu Dhabi.

Solutions for drilling & boring installations

Protect the pad. Protect the programme.

The Inland range most relevant to drilling and boring site installations, available to review with our team at Stand 7457.

Drilling & Completion Pad Liners

Coated woven polyethylene (CWPE) in the XGL series: anti-slip surface and high puncture strength for direct traffic. Large single-piece fabricated panels cover the whole pad with limited to no field seaming.

CWPE · XGL series · Anti-slip · Minimal field seams
Poly Dike Containment Walls

Engineered secondary containment for short or long-term use. Lightweight, modular and flexible, installed without hand tools or heavy equipment, and reusable in a different footprint.

Walls 0.3 m – 1.22 m (1′ to 4′) · Reusable · Stackable for shipping
Pit, Frac & Impoundment Liners

Large fabricated LLDPE liners for pits and impoundments that cut installation time significantly. Custom sizes for long-term use in harsh climatic conditions.

LLDPE 30–60 mil · Produced water · Frac storage · Custom sizes

Tank & One-Piece Liners

One-piece stepped liners for fresh water and brine storage, with specialty liners for oil and condensate. Custom tank covers available.

One-piece · Brine · Oil & condensate
Foam Berms & Ramps

Custom-fabricated foam berms and ramps for fast, flexible containment around tanks and equipment on site.

Square & triangular profiles · Covered or uncovered
Insulated Floating Covers

Single-piece covers that reduce evaporation, odour and contamination, an economical way to protect temporary storage on site.

Single-piece · Ponds & tanks
Beyond the drill site

The full Inland range, on one stand.

Drilling is where we start. If your scope also includes waste containment, water management or bulk material storage, the same fabricated approach applies.

Waste & environmental containment

Landfills & hazardous waste lagoons

Geomembrane liner and cap systems that keep leachate from migrating and protect groundwater, with geotextile layers for cushioning, drainage and filtration.

  • HDPE geomembrane for landfills, waste lagoons and secondary containment
  • LLDPE liners and caps, factory-fabricated to project dimensions
  • Final cover and capping systems for closure and long-term stability
  • Non-woven geotextile as protective cushion under and over the liner
  • Reinforced Concrete Roll® (RCR®) for stormwater and erosion control on slopes
Non-woven geotextile

The layer that protects the liner.

Inland supplies needle-punched, non-woven geotextile (felt) as roll stock or as custom-fabricated, one-piece underlayment. Under a geomembrane it cushions against punctures; in drainage and road or rail applications it filters and stabilises soil.

Cushioning

Protects geomembranes from sharp subgrade and stone

Filtration

Lets water pass while holding soil back

Drainage

Supports leachate and water collection layersSupports leachate and water collection layers

Stabilisation

Soil stabilisation, erosion control and anti-slip surfaces

Why liners fail in the UAE

The desert is hard on liners. Specify for it.

A liner that performs in a temperate climate can fail early here. Six site conditions do most of the damage. For each one, this is how the liner, the geotextile and factory-fabricated seams are used to answer it.

45°C+ surface heat

Extreme heat

Hot, exposed liner expands and contracts every day. It wrinkles, drags on the subgrade and stresses the seams. Field welding is limited to cooler hours.

Liner
Flexible LLDPE is made for performance in extreme hot and cold weather. Light colours (white or gray) are available and take on less heat than black.
Geotextile
A non-woven layer separates the liner from the rough subgrade, so daily movement does not drag it across stones.
Factory seams
Seams are made indoors in a controlled environment, not welded on a 45°C pad at midday.
Strong UV, year-round
Sun & UV exposure

Ultraviolet light breaks polymer down over time. Exposed liners go brittle first at edges, folds and seams.

Liner
HDPE and LLDPE geomembranes are chosen for UV stability. CWPE is coated on both sides over a woven scrim for tear and puncture strength.
Geotextile
Use it as a buried layer under a cover. Keep it covered, since fabric left exposed is not a UV solution.
Factory seams
Large single-piece panels mean fewer seam edges to age and fewer to inspect in the field.
Windblown sand
Sand abrasion & wind

Sand scours exposed surfaces, and wind lifts loose edges. Traffic grinds grit into the liner on drilling pads.

Liner
Reinforced CWPE (the XGL series) has an anti-slip surface and high puncture strength. It is built to take direct traffic on a pad.
Geotextile
Felt cushions the liner from sharp sand, stone and debris beneath it.
Factory seams
Fewer seams means fewer places for wind to start peeling. Anchor trenches and edge details are drawn on the CAD layout.
Saline sabkha soil
Saline soil

Salt in the ground attacks materials and works into any weakness. Brine stored above it can leak into the soil.

Liner
HDPE is an impermeable, chemical-resistant barrier. It is used for waste lagoons, water storage and secondary containment.
Geotextile
Separates and filters, so fine saline soil does not migrate into or through the lining system.
Factory seams
Seams made in a controlled factory are less exposed to dirt and moisture than those welded in the field.
High coastal water table
Groundwater below

Near the coast, water and gas can build up under a liner. This pushes it up, stresses seams and floats empty ponds.

Liner
Thickness and material are sized to the pond, and the design accounts for uplift when the pond is empty. This is an engineering call per site.
Geotextile
Drainage and filtration layers beneath the liner give water and gas somewhere to go. Inland also offers geocomposites for this.
Factory seams
Tested factory seams keep their strength when the liner is stressed from below.
Sudden heavy rain
Flash rain & runoff

Rare but intense rain floods pads and pits, washes out embankments and can catch a liner mid-installation.

Liner
Lined stormwater and sediment ponds hold runoff. RCR® is used for slope armouring and erosion control on embankments.
Geotextile
Filters water through slopes and drains while holding soil in place, which helps limit washouts.
Factory seams
Shorter installation means a smaller window in which a rain event can hit the job.

Specified for UAE sites

Cmets Energy is based in Abu Dhabi and works these conditions every day. Bring your site brief to Stand 7457 and we will help you choose material, thickness, colour, geotextile weight and anchoring for the actual ground, temperature and water table you are dealing with, then pass it to Inland’s team for CAD layout and fabrication.
